Someone Found JJ Watt’s Old MySpace Profile and You’ve Got to See It
In the early 2000s, MySpace was an active social media site where members could check out bands, lurk on people’s profiles, and, of course, rank their friends in their “top 8” category. Though everyone has left MySpace behind for Facebook, that doesn’t mean old profiles aren’t still up and running despite inactivity for many years.
Recently someone discovered what’s probably JJ Watt’s old profile! Chron.com linked to the page, though they warn that “there is no way to really know if this is Watt’s actual page since verified pages weren’t a thing back then, but we can dream, can’t we? At the very least it was made by someone who had access to his old photos.”
Click here to check out the profile, but if you remember how the old profiles looked, be forewarned that MySpace has had a disappointingly chic facelift since then.
While you’re looking through Watt’s profile, you might want to do a quick search for your own old MySpace page. If it’s still public, you’ll be able to see some interesting content you once uploaded to one of the first social media platforms widely used all over the world.
JJ Watt is a favorite among football fans. One devoted fan even went so far as to get his face tattoed on her arm. Watt is also popular among fans for his active charity work. The JJ Watt Foundation has donated millions of dollars to Texas food banks, and Watt also paid for the funerals of the students who died in the tragic Santa Fe school shooting. In May 2019, Watt became engaged to Kealia Ohai, a sports star from another Houston team, the Houston Dash soccer team. More recently, Watt made headlines again when he urged Texans to rally together and “buy back” Whataburger, which had a majority share sold to a Chicago-based company in the summer of 2019.
