The longstanding annual church to church walk celebrating Christmas in Fredericksburg is back again, beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 14th at St Mary’s Catholic Church at 304 West San Antonio Street. There will be a short program at each church presented by the congregations of area churches not on the walking tour including Victory Fellowship, St Thomas Orthodox, Fredericksburg Church of Christ, First Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church, and Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.

Participants are asked to bring one or more of the following for Fredericksburg Elementary School children in need: shampoo (store brand), plain black, blue, or gray unisex cotton elastic-waist sweatpants (children’s sizes small, medium, and large), and plain cotton t-shirts, no designs  (children’s sizes small, medium, and large).  Pastor Travis Meier will be collecting these outside each church visited, beginning with St Mary’s.

We cross Main Street again, and only at a traffic light. The congregation of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church will provide refreshments at the conclusion of the Walk. You don’t need a map. If you don’t know where to go next, just follow the crowd. You can join in anywhere and drive from one church to the next, if necessary. Come celebrate Christmas the Fredericksburg way!
