San Antonio Zoo Offers Texas Teachers Free Admission for the Month of February

In honor of Educator Appreciation Month, all teachers from across the state of Texas are permitted free access to the San Antonio Zoo for the month of February. The free admission applies to all educators, pre-Kindergarten through grade 12, in all public, private, and parochial schools in the Lone Star State, but it also includes a 50% discount for standard admission rates for up to four additional friends!

For access to the San Antonio Zoo, teachers will need to present their driver’s license plus one additional item of the following three: a pay stub identifying their employer, a photo ID or badge from their school district, or a copy of their teaching certificate.

It has been clarified by the San Antonio Zoo on their Facebook page that this free access for the month of February is not extended to homeschool or university teachers. For further details regarding the zoo’s policy and the prerogatives that the free teacher access entails, please visit their website. Please note that for the additional four friends to receive their 50% discount, the teacher must be present.
