There are few bonds as strong as that of a parent and their child. Children savor the undivided attention of their parents and thrive when given quality time with a loving parent. As social creatures, we crave the security of these primary relationships and time spent with people with whom we’re deeply bonded is critical to our mental and physical health. Our increasingly busy lives and reliance on technology often means we make less time for quality one-on-one time with loved ones. This can negatively impact our connections with those we adore most, and sometimes we have to make a special point to reset and reconnect.
Mo-Ranch wants to provide that special time for reconnection, particularly between fathers and sons, during the weekend of January 31-February 2, 2020. Don’t miss their Father-Son Weekend! Mo-Ranch is home to a multi-acre ranch with an abundance of fun activities to explore together. Take time hiking and exploring the great outdoors. Take a canoe out for a quiet morning, or walk and take in the sights and sounds of the birds and wildlife. Stargazing is a must during any stay at Mo-Ranch. Spending time in nature is one important way to bring some calm and quiet to our busy and frenetic lives. There is also no better place to reconnect. The best talks seem to take place on long winding roads.

The Father-Son Weekend will consist of a number of scheduled activities as well as morning devotions, campfires with s’mores, and even a talent show! Plan for lots of laughs and a chance to learn about some hidden family talents. There will also be opportunities for projects like leather-making, carving, whittling as well as fishing and a high-ropes course. Work together on the ropes course to conquer fears and develop a deeper trust in one another.
Mo-Ranch is also home to some beautiful structures, including several historic buildings and a chapel. During the weekend, accommodations are provided in Lomas Dorm, but an upgrade to a private hotel room on the property can also be made. Meals are served on-site, and four meals a day are served during the weekend to be sure that no appetite goes unquenched.

At just $250 for each parent-child pair, the weekend is an affordable option for spending some quality time together in nature. Additional siblings are also welcome to attend for a small additional cost and upgrades can be made to lodging. Scholarships are also available.
