Fall time will soon be here, but even faster than that, football season is in the air in Texas. With that comes the opportunity for tailgating and partaking of some fine football-inspired food to set the tone. With that being said, the Food Network has come through with flying colors on the Spicy Cheddar Cheese Football.

Putting two of our favorite things together, finger foods, and things shaped like footballs, the Food Network shares the link for the preparation of this pre-game masterpiece, complete with all the ingredients and full instructions. If you’re planning on taking this to a tailgating experience, you’re going to want to make it ahead of time, since the recipe calls for 30 minutes to firm up the shape in the fridge. But when has some pre-game warmup time ever held us back? This mixture of three types of cheese, hot sauce, Worcestershire, and seasoning makes for a great snack and an opening play to your already packed tailgating menu. No doubt you’ll have burgers, sausages, maybe some chili, and perhaps even a pizza or two. In addition, you’ll likely be partaking of a few adult beverages. Well, this little number certainly sets the stage for some hearty appetites, and goes well with beer, and won’t leave your fellow football enthusiasts wondering if they’re going to eat well that day or not!
