Texas Floods 2015

In May of 2015 Texas had a statewide average rainfall of 8.81 inches, the highest monthly average on record. Rain fell continuously throughout various areas of the state for 26 straight days. Each one of those days, from May 5th to the 26th, brought at least 4 inches to at least one location in the state according to the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network.

These conditions caused major flooding throughout the entire state, and was a disaster for our area here in The Hill Country. This brief video shows a few areas during the floods, and then revisits them afterwards to give you an idea of the magnitude of the storms .
