When Americans are in trouble from unexpectedly harsh natural disasters, individuals, non-profits, and companies can rise to the occasion. Like Gallery Furniture opening their doors to evacuees, and good Samaritans driving boats out to rescue people and pets, Anheuser-Busch figured out a way to help victims of the storm through their best means. CBS reports that the company is sending “500,000 cans of emergency drinking water to the Red Cross relief station in Baton Rouge.”

Anheuser-Busch halted beer production at their Cartersville, Georgia facility to spread the drinking water through areas impacted by Harvey. KIRO 7 says that it’s a somewhat common practice for the company to stop canning beer whenever a disaster takes place to try to make a difference to those in need. The cans have “water” stamped boldly on the side of the cans, so there’s no mistaking what’s inside.

On their Facebook page, fans of the company are thanking them for their efforts. Gary F Najera wrote, “That is awesome just another reason why I’m a life long Bud fan.” Anheuser-Busch replied, “We’re humbled to provide this water to our friends and neighbors…It’s our sincere hope that this small gesture provides some relief to our friends and neighbors in need.”
